Michael Stacchini is a Senior Attorney in Vishnick
McGovern Milizio’s Litigation Practice group, specializing
in the areas of commercial and employment litigation,
matrimonial litigation and Surrogate Court litigation. An
experienced litigator and trial attorney, Mr. Stacchini is a
former Bronx County Assistant District Attorney.
Mr. Stacchini has represented individuals and estates in a
wide variety of Surrogate Court proceedings including Will
contests, accounting proceedings, fiduciary related
proceedings and turnover proceedings involving estate
property. In addition, he has represented individuals and
businesses in State and Federal Court in a myriad of matters
including contract disputes, corporate dissolution and
derivative actions and employee related litigations. Also,
Mr. Stacchini has represented individuals in matrimonial,
child custody and child support actions.
Mr. Stacchini graduated magna cum laude from Boston
University School of Law where he received his Juris
Doctorate in 1996. While attending Boston University School
of Law, he was honored as the G. Joseph Tauro Distinguished
Scholar and the Paul J. Liacos Scholar, and with the
American Jurisprudence Award in Criminal Law and the
American Jurisprudence Award in Criminal Procedure. While an
editor on the Boston University Law Review, Mr. Stacchini
published an article, Nicholas v. United States: Narrowing
the 6th Amendment Guarantees to Counsel, in the publication.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the
University of Pennsylvania in 1993.
Mr. Stacchini is a member of the Queens County Bar
Association and the Nassau County Bar Association and serves
on the Commercial Litigation Committee, the Surrogate’s
Court Estates and Trusts Committee and the Labor and
Employment Law Committee.
Mr. Stacchini is admitted to practice law in the State of
New York for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
