Andrew A. Kimler, a Partner in the Litigation
Practice Group at Capell Vishnick, focuses in the areas of
commercial law, corporate law and employment law. Mr. Kimler's
trial experience includes representing individuals and
businesses in both Federal and State courts as well as before
arbitration tribunals. His experience includes representing one
of the former "Watergate" defendants in civil rights litigation.
In addition, Mr. Kimler has represented clients in matrimonial
proceedings.
An experienced litigator, Mr. Kimler has represented clients in
complex contract, partnership and other business disputes. His
employment cases have included wage and hour, discrimination,
trade secret and restrictive convenant disputes.
Mr. Kimler has served as an arbitrator and has lectured on
various aspects of employment law. Mr. Kimler has been appointed
to the panel of mediators in the Commercial Division of the
State Supreme Court. He has co-authored two volumes of "Criminal
Defense Techniques" for Matthew Bender. Moreover, he has written
on various aspects of equitable distribution and matrimonial law
for Matthew Bender. Mr. Kimler has also contributed to "Handling
Juvenile Delinquency" by F. Lee Bailey and Henry B. Rothblatt
and has written monthly criminal law columns for the New York
Law Journal as well as supplements for several F. Lee Bailey and
Henry B. Rothblatt criminal law publications. Mr. Kimler has
served as the "Special Legal Advisor" to the Korean American
Grocers Association. In addition, he received the highest rating
awarded for legal ability by the Martindale-Hubbell directory.
Mr. Kimler received his Juris Doctor in 1977 from Ohio Northern
University where he was an Associate Editor for the Ohio
Northern University Law Review. He graduated cum laude from
Queens College of the City University of New York in 1974. He
was awarded honors in political science and was a member of the
National Political Science Honor Society.
Mr. Kimler is admitted to practice law in the State of New York,
the United States Supreme Court and the United States District
Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the
District of New Jersey.
